# International SWIFT

> Step-by-step guide to adding an international SWIFT bank beneficiary on Devdraft, so you can send cross-border wires using SWIFT/BIC to countries with no dedicated payment rail.

# Overview

Before you can send a cross-border wire to someone whose country isn't covered by a dedicated rail, you need to add them as a recipient using **SWIFT**. This guide walks through the full flow from tapping **+** on the Recipients screen to submitting a completed International SWIFT beneficiary.

<Info>
  International SWIFT is the catch-all option for countries without a dedicated payment rail. Unlike the other account types, this flow has **three** steps instead of two Owner, Beneficiary, and Receiving Bank — since both the beneficiary's and the bank's country, address, and account details are collected separately.
