# USDC via Blockchain (Base)

> How to send USDC from Devdraft to a wallet address on the Base network, how to choose or add a wallet, how to review the transfer, and how to track it.

# Sending USDC to a Wallet on Base

Devdraft lets you send USDC from your balance to a saved recipient's wallet address on the Base network. This guide covers choosing a saved recipient, entering an amount, reviewing the transfer, confirming, and tracking it.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Transfers are sent to **saved recipients**, so the recipient's wallet should already be added to your account. This guide covers sending on the **Base** network only. Make sure the wallet you're sending to supports USDC on Base before you send.

## How Recipients Receive the Money

You send USDC from your Devdraft balance to a saved recipient. It is transferred on-chain over the Base network and arrives in the recipient's wallet as USDC, at the saved address.

## Sending USDC

**1. Tap Send**

From your account home screen, tap **Send**.

**2. Choose Blockchain**

On the **Send** screen, choose how you want to send money:

| Option | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Bank** | Send via bank transfer, ACH, Wire, SEPA |
| **Mobile Money** | Send to mobile money accounts |
| **Blockchain** | Send crypto to blockchain addresses |
| **Devdraft User** | Send directly using an email or @tag |

Tap **Blockchain**.

**3. Choose a saved recipient**

The **Send** screen (step 1 of 3) shows your saved recipients under **Recent**. Select the saved recipient you want to send to.

You can also add a recipient from this screen:

| Option | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Scan QR code** | Use your camera to scan an address |
| **New wallet** | Paste an address |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Once a recipient is saved, they appear in your **Recent** list for future transfers, so you don't need to enter the address again.

**4. Enter the amount**

On the next screen (step 2 of 3), enter how much USDC you want to send. Your available balance is shown beneath the amount, e.g. *Balance 70.24 USDC*.

> [!WARNING]
>
> You can't send more than your available balance. Check the amount carefully before continuing, as blockchain transfers can't be reversed once sent.

Tap **Continue** once you're happy with the amount.

**5. Review the transfer**

The **Confirm** screen (step 3 of 3) shows the full breakdown before you send:

| Field | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **To** | The name of the saved recipient you're sending to, e.g. *My Wallet* |
| **Address** | The recipient's saved wallet address, shortened, e.g. *0x5751...4eb6* |
| **Network** | The blockchain network used for the transfer, **BASE** |
| **You send** | The USDC amount leaving your balance, e.g. *10.00 USDC* |

> [!WARNING]
>
> Check the **Address** and **Network** carefully. Crypto transfers can't be reversed, and USDC sent to an address that doesn't support the Base network may be lost.

**6. Send**

Tap **Send** to confirm the transfer. The button changes to **Sending...** while your transfer is processed.

## After You Send

You'll see an **On its way** confirmation showing the amount sent, the saved recipient, and the network, e.g. *10.00 USDC to My Wallet on BASE*. From here you can tap **Done** to return to your account.

## Tracking Your Transfer

Every transfer appears in your **Transactions** list as a **Withdrawal**, with its current status and how long ago it was sent.

Tap any transaction to open **Transaction Details**, which shows:

| Field | Notes |
| - | - |
| **Status** | e.g. Payment Submitted, Payment Success, Failed |
| **Type** | Withdrawal |
| **Date & Time** | When the transfer was initiated |
| **Currency** | The currency sent, e.g. USDC |
| **Reference** | A unique transaction reference you can copy |

From this screen you can tap **View Receipt** for a downloadable record of the transaction, or **Get Help** if something looks wrong.

> [!NOTE]
>
> If a transfer shows as **Failed**, the funds are not deducted from your available balance — you can review the details and try again, or reach out via **Get Help** if you're unsure why it failed.
