# International SWIFT

> Step-by-step guide to adding an international SWIFT bank beneficiary on Devdraft, so you can send cross-border wires using SWIFT/BIC to countries with no dedicated payment rail.

> [!NOTE]
>
> International SWIFT is the catch-all option for countries without a dedicated payment rail. This flow has **three** steps instead of two — Owner, Beneficiary, and Receiving Bank — since both the beneficiary's and the bank's country, address, and account details are collected separately.

| **Recipient relationship** | Your relationship to this recipient |
| **Account number / IBAN** | The recipient's account number or IBAN |

## Steps

**1. Start Adding a Recipient**

From the **Recipients** tab, tap the **+** icon in the top-left corner.

**2. Choose the Recipient Type**

The **Add Recipient** popup opens with four destination types: **International bank**, Stablecoin wallet, Zambia bank, and Zambia mobile money.

Select **International bank**.

**3. Choose the Country / Account Type**

A second **Add Recipient** screen lists the supported account types:

* US Account — ACH & Wire, routing + account number
* European (IBAN) — SEPA, IBAN + BIC
* Mexican (CLABE) — 18-digit CLABE account number
* Brazilian Account — PIX, PIX Safe & TED
* Argentine Account — Transfers 3.0, CVU, CBU or alias
* Colombian Account — ACH Colombia bank transfer
* **International SWIFT — Cross-border wire via SWIFT/BIC**

Select **International SWIFT**.

**4. Owner Details (1/3)**

The **Owner** screen collects who the beneficiary is. Start by selecting **Account Owner Type**: **Individual** or **Business**. The fields below change depending on your selection.

> | **Recipient Relationship** | Yes | Your relationship to this recipient |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Unlike the other account types, there's no **Country** field on this screen — the recipient's country is instead captured as **Beneficiary country** on the next step.

Once all required fields are filled in, tap **Continue** to proceed to Beneficiary.

**5. Beneficiary (2/3)**

This screen collects the recipient's account and address details:

| Field | Required | Notes |
| - | - | - |

| **Beneficiary postal code** | Optional | The recipient's billing postal code |

Once all required fields are filled in, tap **Continue** to proceed to Receiving Bank.

**6. Receiving Bank (3/3)**

The final screen collects the receiving bank's details, and optionally an intermediary bank.

**Bank**

| Field | Required | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **SWIFT code / BIC** | Optional | e.g. `DEUTDEFFXXX` |
| **Bank name** | Optional | e.g. Deutsche Bank |

| - | - | - |
| **Intermediary bank name** | Optional | Only needed if the payment must route through an intermediary bank |
| **Intermediary bank SWIFT / BIC** | Optional | The intermediary bank's SWIFT code or BIC |
| **Intermediary bank account number / IBAN** | Optional | The intermediary bank's account number or IBAN |
| **Intermediary bank country** | Optional | The country where the intermediary bank is located |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Double-check the SWIFT code/BIC and account number/IBAN before submitting — an incorrect value is the most common reason a cross-border wire fails or is misdirected.

Once every required field is complete, tap **Add Bank Beneficiary** to save the recipient.

## What Happens Next

Once saved, the beneficiary appears on the **Recipients** screen with a **Bank** label under their name, and is ready to receive a cross-border wire via SWIFT.
