## What You Need Before You Start

Have the following ready before you begin:

| Info | Notes |
| - | - |
| **Payment Rail** | **PIX**, **PIX Safe**, or **TED** |
| **Owner type** | Whether the beneficiary is an **Individual** or a **Business** |
| **Display name / Business Name** | Individual: a display name, only visible to you. Business: the registered business name |
| **Recipient relationship** | Your relationship to this recipient (e.g. Independent contractor) |
| **Business Industry** | Business only — the recipient's industry |
| **PIX key** | Required for PIX and PIX Safe — CPF, email, phone, or random key |
| **Bank code** | Required for PIX Safe and TED |
| **Branch code** | Required for PIX Safe and TED |
| **CPF / CNPJ** | Required for PIX Safe and TED |

## Steps

**1. Start Adding a Recipient**

From the **Recipients** tab, tap the **+** icon in the top-left corner.

**2. Choose the Recipient Type**

The **Add Recipient** popup opens with four destination types: **International bank**, Stablecoin wallet, Zambia bank, and Zambia mobile money.

Select **International bank**.

**3. Choose the Country / Account Type**

A second **Add Recipient** screen lists the supported account types:

* US Account — ACH & Wire, routing + account number
* European (IBAN) — SEPA, IBAN + BIC
* Mexican (CLABE) — 18-digit CLABE account number
* **Brazilian Account — PIX, PIX Safe & TED**
* Argentine Account — Transfers 3.0 (CVU, CBU or alias)
* Colombian Account — ACH Colombia bank transfer
* International SWIFT — Cross-border wire via SWIFT/BIC

Select **Brazilian Account**.

**4. Choose the Payment Rail**

The **Payment Rail** screen lists the three ways to pay a Brazilian recipient:

| Rail | Notes |
| - | - |
| **PIX** | Instant payments via PIX key |
| **PIX Safe** | PIX with bank verification |
| **TED** | Same-day bank transfer |

Select the rail that matches how you want to pay this recipient — this determines which fields you'll fill in on the Bank Details screen.

**5. Owner Details (1/2)**

The **Owner** screen collects who the beneficiary is. Start by selecting **Account Owner Type**: **Individual** or **Business**. The fields below change depending on your selection.

> [tab] Individual
>
> | Field | Required | Notes |
> | - | - | - |
> | **Account Owner Type** | Yes | Select **Individual** |
> | **Display name** | Optional | Only visible to you, e.g. *"Hry"* |
> | **Recipient Relationship** | Yes | Your relationship to this recipient, e.g. **Independent contractor** |

> [tab] Business
>
> | Field | Required | Notes |
> | - | - | - |
> | **Account Owner Type** | Yes | Select **Business** |
> | **Business Name** | Yes | The registered business name, e.g. *"Schema Labs"* |
> | **Recipient Relationship** | Yes | Your relationship to this recipient, e.g. **Independent contractor** |
> | **Business Industry** | Yes | Select from the industry picker, e.g. **All Other Business Support Services** |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Unlike the US, European, and Mexican flows, there's no **Bank Name** field on this screen — bank details are collected on the next screen instead, and vary based on the payment rail you selected.

Once all required fields are filled in, tap **Continue** to proceed to Bank Details.

**6. Bank Details (2/2)**

The final screen collects the recipient's account details. Which fields appear depends on the payment rail you chose:

> [tab] PIX
>
> | Field | Required | Notes |
> | - | - | - |
> | **PIX key** | Yes | CPF, email, phone, or random key |

> [tab] PIX Safe
>
> | Field | Required | Notes |
> | - | - | - |
> | **PIX key** | Yes | CPF, email, phone, or random key |
> | **Bank code** | Yes | e.g. `001` |
> | **Branch code** | Yes | e.g. `0001` |
> | **CPF / CNPJ** | Yes | The recipient's individual (CPF) or business (CNPJ) tax ID |

> [tab] TED
>
> | Field | Required | Notes |
> | - | - | - |
> | **Bank code** | Yes | e.g. `001` |
> | **Branch code** | Yes | e.g. `0001` |
> | **CPF / CNPJ** | Yes | The recipient's individual (CPF) or business (CNPJ) tax ID |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Double-check the PIX key, bank code, and CPF/CNPJ before submitting — an incorrect value is the most common reason a payout fails or is misdirected.

Once every field is complete, tap **Add Bank Beneficiary** to save the recipient.

## What Happens Next

Once saved, the beneficiary appears on the **Recipients** screen with a **Bank** label under their name, and is ready to receive a payout via the payment rail you selected.
