# Deposit USDC via Blockchain (Base)

> How to deposit USDC into your Devdraft balance from an external wallet on the Base network, how to use your deposit address or QR code, and how to track your deposit.

# Depositing USDC from an External Wallet

Devdraft lets you fund your balance by sending USDC from an external wallet to your personal Devdraft deposit address on the Base network. This guide covers finding your deposit address, sending USDC to it from your wallet, and tracking the deposit.

> [!NOTE]
>
> This guide covers depositing on the **Base** network only. Make sure your external wallet holds USDC on Base before you send.

## How Your Deposit Arrives

You send USDC from your external wallet to the deposit address shown in Devdraft. Devdraft detects the transfer once it confirms on the Base network, and the USDC is credited to your Devdraft balance.

## Depositing USDC

**1. Tap Deposit**

From your account home screen, tap **Deposit**.

**2. Choose Blockchain**

On the **Deposit** screen, choose how you want to add money:

| Option | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Blockchain** | Receive USDC on Base |
| **Bank** | Receive funds from your bank account |
| **Mobile Money** | Receive funds from your mobile money account |
| **Collect from Bank** | Pull funds from a connected bank account |

Tap **Blockchain**.

**3. Get your deposit address**

The **Deposit USDC** screen shows the details you need to send funds to Devdraft:

| Field | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **QR code** | A QR code for your deposit address, which you can scan from your external wallet |
| **Deposit Address** | Your deposit address. Tap the copy icon beside it to copy the full address |
| **Network** | The blockchain network to send on, **Base** |

A note at the top of the screen explains how it works: *Scan the QR or copy the address — we detect the transfer once it confirms on Base.*

> [!WARNING]
>
> Send only **USDC on the Base network** to this address. Crypto transfers can't be reversed, and funds sent on a different network or in a different token may be lost.

**4. Send USDC from your external wallet**

Open your external wallet and start a send of USDC on the Base network. Either scan the QR code from the **Deposit USDC** screen, or paste the address you copied. Check that the address and network match before you confirm the transfer in your wallet.

**5. Tap Done**

Tap **Done** to return to your account. You don't need to stay on the screen. Devdraft detects the transfer on its own once it confirms on Base.

## After You Deposit

Your USDC is credited to your balance once the transfer confirms on the Base network. It isn't added the moment you send it from your wallet, so it may take a short while to appear.

## Tracking Your Deposit

Every deposit appears in your **Transactions** list as a **Deposit**, with its current status and how long ago it was made. Successful deposits show a plus sign before the amount.

Tap any transaction to open **Transaction Details**, which shows:

| Field | Notes |
| - | - |
| **Status** | e.g. Payment Submitted, Payment Success, Failed |
| **Type** | Deposit |
| **Date & Time** | When the deposit was initiated |
| **Currency** | The currency of the transaction, e.g. USDC |
| **Reference** | A unique transaction reference you can copy |

From this screen you can tap **View Receipt** for a downloadable record of the transaction, expand **References** for more reference details, or tap **Get Help** if something looks wrong.

> [!NOTE]
>
> If a deposit shows as **Failed**, no USDC was credited to your balance. You can review the details and try again, or reach out via **Get Help** if you're unsure why it failed.
